 | Events: Texas Fest 2010 |
 Come out for a taste of Texas at Northwest Florida State College on August 7 at 4pm. It's a fun evening of Texas culture, music and food. This event is sponsored by the Emerald Coast A & M Club. TexasFest will merge Texas and Florida cultures and BBQ styles. Headlining the event is Granger Smith from Texas. Granger, (Texas A&M Class of ‘02), is an up-and-coming star in Texas country music.
The Food and Fun goes through 10pm. All proceeds go to our scholarship fund for local students attending Texas A&M. Tickets can be purchased through the Mattie Kelly Arts Center Ticket Office or at the college box office (850-729-6000).
Advance tickets are $30 each; at the event $35 each. General Admission tickets are $20 in advance (bring your own chairs or blankets); $25 at the event; Children $10. BBQ purchases and beverages are extra, but the Blue Bell Ice Cream will be Free. Your votes will be counted and you will choose the winner. Whether your prefer the BBQ from Texas or Florida, be sure your favorite wins.
